Hundred Knot Zinfandel 2019
Tasting Notes
The red clay, sandy quartz and loamy soils in the Russian River Valley have set the stage for a sensational Zinfandel that channels old California style with some new school flair. Ripe cherries, cherry liqueur, crushed gravel, underbrush and black pepper lead into a spicy palate of peppered red berries, purple flowers, grilled plums and brambly fruits, framed by keen acidity and polished tannins. Aged in 20% new French oak for 12 months, this wine is 100% esteemed placing all the emphasis on purity of fruit and this exceptional single vineyard.
Pairing
Baby back ribs, barbecue pork, soy-glazed pork belly, pork and beans, backyard barbecues, smoked brisket, and anything loaded up with cracked black pepper
